Sheron Cardin's Input...: February 2008

I have been an interior designer for over 27 years and I have always taught my clients the principles I used while decorating their home so they may enjoy decorating too. The home staging trend in residential real estate is a great way to reach more people every day and what I enjoy the most is they are learning the basics of good design through staging. It is my dream for every person to know the joy and pride of living in a decorated home.

Below is the announcement opening the voting procedure for Stager Idol but voting is now closed and we are off to the next phase with our top 10!

It's finally here; our first opportunity to see all the before and staged pictures and vote on them.  Voting for your favorite Stager Idol competition has begun and continues all week until February 17th at which time the voting process will be cut off at midnight.

Due to the format limitations of our Stager Idol web site, voting is a 4 step process so please read carefully:

  1. Print out the Stager Idol Voting Made Easy Form
  2. Then visit the Stager Idol Photo Gallery
  3. Browse each Stager Idol contestant's photos then rank each one on a scale from 1 - 5 stars, then write those down on the Stager Idol Voting Made Easy Form
  4. Once you have ranked each contestant, click on the Voting Page and enter in your votes

You may go back and vote for contestant's that you missed but you can only enter once per contestant...until your voting is finished or until you have exited the voting.

After voting is finished, you will not be able to re-enter the voting page so be prepared to take your time and look carefully at each Stager Idol contestants work.

(Example: If you hit the DONE button then you cannot go back again and if you vote for half the contestants and don't hit the DONE button but just close your browser then you can go back at a later time to finish voting. In other words' once you hit DONE, you are DONE!

Jukebox Link!

Jukebox

I was a little selfish for not posting this link...http://www.tropicalglen.com. Write it down and save it because it has a way of disappearing without notice. After searching in my email, sent list, and deleted list, I remembered who sent it to me. The best way for me to hang onto this link is to post it here in American Bandstand so I will be able to find it in the future...and maybe you too.

You Can't Win If You Don't Play The Game!

Stager IdolHey fellow stagers...just cruising the Before and After group, and I see dozens of rooms that look like real winners to me. I do not know who has submitted their photo's to Stager Idol but I do know that if you don't enter, you cannot win and you may very well regret it.

You know who I am talking about...I am talking about YOU!

What will you feel like when you see the winner of Stager Idol and you know you have done better and have better photo's to prove it!

If you don't think your work is good enough you are wrong. Each and every one of AR's stagers are in the business to win and Stager Idol is an ideal way to market yourself, be seen, be appreciated, be acknowledged. How boring would American Idol be if no one entered except for the winner? The whole world knows the top 10 and they have all gone onto solid careers because they took a chance.

It will be another year before the next Stager Idol competition so don't wait another minute. The prizes are just a benefit to strive for but what really counts is that you will learn about yourself. You will build your courage and your confidence in your work which is far reaching in one's career.

If you only have one before and after shot of a room that you absolutely love...then submit it. That is all that it takes. You do not need to submit 10, 20, 30 shots. It only takes one set of before and after pictures of your favorite job to win the competition.

You need to trust me when I say you have a really good chance of taking home the whole enchilada!  HURRY HURRY HURRY! Revisit STAGER IDOL, review the rules and then submit your best work for an occupied home or a vacant.

If you have any questions or doubts, please contact me to see if I can get you going. There are just a couple of days left to enter. It is easy and a very small investment can take you all the way to the top!
