Sheron Cardin's Input...: Using Staging Techniques for Dinner Parties

I have been an interior designer for over 27 years and I have always taught my clients the principles I used while decorating their home so they may enjoy decorating too. The home staging trend in residential real estate is a great way to reach more people every day and what I enjoy the most is they are learning the basics of good design through staging. It is my dream for every person to know the joy and pride of living in a decorated home.

Using Staging Techniques for Dinner Parties

Sometimes in performing the normal tasks of running a business, you will come across an idea that really hadn't occurred to you before and it is like putting a banana on top of your head, so to speak. It's like "What is this?" And as amazed as I am it makes perfectly good sense...

great dinner party

The Dinner Party Planning Site is one of my busiest affiliates, if not the busiest. This gal is a go-getter and is doing all the thinking for her customers by using 'out of the box' techniques like home staging instructions as guidelines for the preparation of a party. I get more hits from her site than any other and she is not even in the real estate or decorating business so go figure.

My hats off to you Joanie Williams and here is a big thank you from me. I hope you get lots of hits from this post.

Interesting Idea.  You're right - that is a totally new thought.

Hi Robin, I am a little leary using the word hitting but it does say what I am trying to get across. It hit me as it did Joanie that there is a market out there for instructions on just about everything including how to put on a great party. I would never have really known that until I saw all the hits on her site either.

How hot is it in Tucson these days? I just love the rock gardens there!

Sheron, what a great idea....I wouldn't have thought of it, either but I went on to the site and it's terrific...How did you find out about it?  Thanks for the post, it's a great idea...

Joanie signed up as an affiliate way back when which anyone can do from my website. I thought she was clever then but had no idea she would become such a big hitter!

Now there is a party planning idea for you and Feng Shui Carole.

And last but not least, I had a friend over last night for dinner and to give her an old computer of mine and I mentioned Feng Shui as an area of interest of mine and she said "What is that?". I couldn't believe my ears and she is 52 years old. FS and HS have more in common than we thought!

Sheron, thanks for the post, I'd have never known Joanie is in my neck of the woods.

Now I have a site caulk full of information on how to set the table properly!

To coin an old phrase: "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" still works only we do it better. For stagers it is "You make mine look better and I help yours look better!" :)
