If you have been under a rock then you probably don't know that I have been dabbling in the mysterious arts of Feng Shui personally, with the help and gentle guidance of Carole Provenzale, a few e-books, and some paper books trying to find a starting point of incorporation.
And as some of you know...my funny bone led to believe that if I followed this path, my home would turn into a Chinese restaurant. A light bulb went off and I thought I could take on the challenge of upgrading the trinkets and bobbles and superstitious behaviors with a decorator's eye and I have managed with some finesse, acceptable replacements for myself.
As I was dancing along the feng shui path of laughter and confusion, I befriended Carole or she befriended me, whichever the case...I am certain she has prevented some unforeseen casualties I was in the midst of creating for myself and took me on as a personal challenge for herself (now that I have gotten to know her better, she did not need another project). But she reached out to me I have done every little thing she has told me to in blind faith and just for the pleasure of learning something new. I am a strong believer in 'learning is in the doing' so how perfect was this new adventure for me.
In no way did I expect the coming events.
I was told to plant a tree, not just any tree but an evergreen, in the wealth sector of my property. I was to follow specific instructions on colors of mulch and ribbons with no leeway. I made sure that the tree was planted right where it was supposed to go before I went to Seattle August 4th for a week. This is where it starts getting good...
While in Seattle and busy with other interests, I returned home to my computer and what did I find? I had more sales that week than any other week since I began my web business two years prior. Could this be a direct result of the MONEY TREE? Woohoo I thought, this is really fun. I shared my excitement with family and friends and I go the proverbial grin and a nod like yuhuh. Carole knew! She was not surprised AT ALL. She was happy and ready to take the next step.
Oh, it doesn't stop there! August sales increased 25% over any other month, ever. OK, still could be coincidence, timing, bound to happen kind of surge. Could be that home staging is catching on and everyone is wanting forms and instructions? Could be a natural progression of 'things'? Sure...thats fine.
Nope! It doesn't stop there...this week is not over yet and my sales are greater for one week than 90% of my monthly totals. Yuhuh, now we're talking. What did I work on last week with my extremely profitable feng shui consultant? You want to know, don't you! Well, I will tell you that began working on my HELPFUL PEOPLE sector and I mean barely scratching the surface.
Being the sales person that I am, and I am not trying to sell you anything here...just sharing the joy and shock, my feng shui consultant paid for herself in the first 6 weeks of her consultation and I am talking about we have just scratched the surface! Did I say that already? Let me say it again...we have just scratched the surface. Now this is not going to happen to everyone the same way and maybe everything will go back to 'normal' but what if it doesn't! What if it just gets better and bigger and brighter? Other aspects of my life not mentioned here are humming along too!
Oh, I have got to calm down. I suspect there will be more to come! Moral of the story? Sleep in peace because your blessings are forever coming to you.

I've been reading all the Feng Shui posts. Got a question for you and Carole (love and read all her posts, too) to me it seems so much like the "secret", but you create atmosphere as well as thought.
I have no idea is that is right, because honestly, until I joined AR and started reading Carole's posts, I was clueless and still am for the most part.
I just know I love life, my family, and what I do, I love all of that so much that I love waking up in the morning!
Sheron, Thank you for posting this. I've helped a few people on AR but they don't want to post their results. And you're such a great "client" -- unlocking the gate, opening the door, I put you through some grief I think! All in the name of FS. I have five comments on my FS post, I can't get people to believe me and it's such a shame.
Geez, I remember back to the day VAL said to call you---and I just couldn't. I was terrified of you!! And you've become a great friend so who really made out here? I think it was ME....
Sometimes I think it's also the physical act of planting the tree triggered your positive thinking (the secret, anyone?). I think whatever it is, as long as it works ;)

Margaret - life is amazing. As I am sitting here commenting on you comment, the front cover to a stereo speaker fell off the front of the speaker and fell on the floor in the living room taking my money cat with it. While picking the cover up and placing it back on the speaker, I notice the cat laying on it's side and wondering what had just blown in? I can't wait to see what it is.
I guess I should mention tithing never sleeps either.

Kathy - I know how you feel. Every moment that passes without some improvement leaves me feeling anxious. Your money tree goes in your wealth area which you will find in the far left corner of your house and yard when you are standing just inside your front door when walking into your house. Does that make sense? This is no joke...It is very much like walking a labyrinth, when you walk the path, you walk the path of the ancients that came before you...so when you follow feng shui, you enter into a special place where everyone that has planted a money tree is in agreeable with you. Lot's of yeses come your way.
Carole - oh wise one...my cat is working like he loves it and I let him. After putting him back up where he belongs, he is more intent to bring in the prosperity than ever. Thanks. You might want to explain the waving arm cat in length here to help Diane.
I did not like the gold so I found one in China that is white and it is waving in good Chi.
I hope no one is expecting you home early on Tuesday afternoon. Told hubby that I will be gone ALL day...shopping then Sheron, then cocktails and more Sheron. Just kidding but I need to pick your brain and I have too many questions for just lunch so maybe weekly sessions..:-)
I am getting the impression that feng shui (or bad feng shui) could be to blame for all the chaos in the world? Ah, if life were only so simple...but who would think leaving a fountain in your wealth area will chase your money away! Theresa...I am getting a little nervous.
Carole - why did the fountain stir up the money? Or was it the de-cluttering?

Diane - this is the Ba gua. Your wealth area is in the southwest corner of your house and yard.
Thanks for the post Sheron!! Though I do not practice formal Feng Shui, I have followed flows within spaces from my youth. The formality of Feng Shui is similar and I will look again at some of the firmer ideas such as your money tree!! My intuitive nature has always guided me and it doesn't matter what someone has in their home, I can sense it and move along accordingly.
I also believe, like you, in the law of Attraction. (Long before The Secret popularized this concept). Giving attracts receiving and knowing how to keep it all in healthy balance is an art. This business is about providing paths and opening homes to create wealth for others....and eventually ourselves. Thanks for the blog!! I will look iinto planting an evergreen in the far SW corner of my tropical paradise here in Florida!! Kathleen - everyone needs a green evergreen in their SW corner...why take chances :) I know what you mean by good instinct...when I first started comparing fs to interior design I was pleased to see that sofas and chairs need to be moved away from walls to allow Chi to flow...haven't we been doing that for year? Absolutely. Glad you have joined us on our journey.
Sheron....I have not ever been one to position sofas or chairs against walls....it never 'felt' right! FS simply puts more reason behind the way some of us naturally design spaces! Energy flow is so important...

Wednesday (9/19) I leave for a HUGE fun-filled Tango Dance Festival!!! (in Las Vegas) so my little money tree planting ceremony will have to wait until I return!! :) Of course, I am always happy to attract Good Luck in other ways too!! Hahaha.....
But, first things first...I do not know if places sell evergreen trees around here. Hmmm....is there a certain breed which grows bigger bucks than others?? THAT is the one I want!!! Your's sounds pretty awesome...I am hoping I will not have to deal with a dying money tree if it can't take the heat here in FL...we won't even go there!!! In the meantime....attracting fun dance partners is on my mind!! (And maybe a few hands at the Blackjack table too$$$!!) Regards-Kathleen

I just received an email from someone who followed the fs advice in this post and had remarkable results withing the first 24 hours. Enough change that one cannot deny the cause! This person wants to remain anonymous so her competition will not find out her SECRET...ssssshhhhh! I have already notified Carole and she expects hearing news like this.

I have complete faith in everything Carole says and recommends and I have seen some very positive changes in my own life since I met her and started paying heed to what she says.....so I'm not surprised at the results you are getting from following the things she tells you. Tango is filled with lots of partners...and it is easy to find the partners, more difficult to find the good dancers sometimes!! Big difference!! Maybe I will write a blog about Tango when I return and how the dance of selling a home is about partnerships. OK, you can put down your fountain down now :) Once your money comes pouring in, I think you are to move the fountain so your money does not keep going and run out to someone else, then plant an evergreen which you should have plenty to choose from where you are! I may have that wrong too but that is my understanding.
I remember the long conga lines...that is when the guys would join in; they are so obvious aren't they? Sorry guys in AR...not you!

It is very exciting to realize we have any kind of control over our income these days and by opening up ...creating greater wealth with feng shui through these simple actions, well, it's all good!
Carole gave me this Chi award a while back and I am going to use it when there is a demonstration directly related to the use of a feng shui technique.

The large fountain is already in the SE area of the yard, but it's not often on due to wildlife problems with it. Guess that's why my wealth is clogged or turn-off? Now with winter on the way I can't use it due to freezing, guess that I need to bring the mini fountain into the master bath. Plugging in tonight!
Where does the evergreen, money tree go. I'm surrounded by them (large and small. old and young evergreens)...but I need to plant another? I have no problem with that, just curious.
Hi Ginger - If your plugging in your fountain tonight does that mean you will buy lunch tomorrow or will I. That is interesting...either way we both win.
Now for your tree, Carole may suggest that you put some wind chimes in your SE corner and something purple. I have a purple sequin belt of Haley's on a stick, with red much around the base. She is going to kill me for letting that out but when one prospers, we all prosper...so thats the story of my tree. Did you ever see a picture of it? It is over here toward the bottom.
