Sheron Cardin's Input...: Snow in California is just the icing on the cake!

I have been an interior designer for over 27 years and I have always taught my clients the principles I used while decorating their home so they may enjoy decorating too. The home staging trend in residential real estate is a great way to reach more people every day and what I enjoy the most is they are learning the basics of good design through staging. It is my dream for every person to know the joy and pride of living in a decorated home.

Snow in California is just the icing on the cake!

Where else can you get in your car and in 2 hours in any direction find

  • the ocean lapping at your feet next to Doris Day or Clint Eastwood
  • jogging under the Golden Gate Bridge right behind Robin Williams
  • or ski down a hill in a destination ski resort or
  • rafting down a river or
  • go to a world class movie premier or
  • gawk at a famous movie star sitting next to you at Spago or
  • have your air conditioner on in the car in the middle of December or
  • see vast wind farms with thousands of propellers moving simultainously with heds of cows below or
  • sit in a Rolling Stones concert with a glass of fine wine and
  • eat fresh oysters from a fisherman hand?
  • sit on a bench while watching surfers in the same scene as high tea and emeralds?
  • beautiful rolling hills as far as you can see
  • mountains that have snow on them in the summer

What have I forgotten???

Namaste

You guys are good! I love the 6 foot mouse and you took my wine drinking in the vineyard...gotta get back to you now. Shucks!

how about

See a Pirate Ship sitting in the ocean (while filming)

See the most amazing crooked street on an enormous hill while at the same time viewing the Bay

Listen & ride the cable cars up and down the highest hills all the while wondering if you'll fall into the Bay

Eat Sour dough bread and crab while watching the seals on the pier

Ice skate outside while wearing shorts in 70 degree weather

Golf next to the ocean and see the sea otters crack the crab on their chest while swimming

Drive through a huge tree

Not as fabulous as both of yours, but I gave it a shot

Do we love California or what!!! Thank you Gena for reminding me of SF, I used to live at 1312 California Street up on Nob Hill right on the cable car line! When I first moved there I heard the song Rice-a-Roni in my head every 5 minutes. Love SF...miss it...

  • Saw President Clinton out my front door in his limo...he waved at my son.
  • Walked the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral several times a week and watched the making of the Rock with Sean Connery at the Fairmont.
  • Walked down Taylor and grab a whole crab and some sour dough bread and sit down by the fishing boats all by myself just taking it all in
  • One of my favorite places to go was this little reto bar/restaurant under the Fairmont...it would rain and thunder while you were eating and drinking and instantly transport you back the the Trader Vics days.
  • I was just in Laguna Beach in November and dozens of dolphins were jumping out of the breakers right over my grandaughters head as she play in the sand...got that on film!

Any more out there?

Brian Tracy is an sales and training author/speker who lives in Rancho Santa Fe and offices in Solana Beach.  I have read his stuff for close to 10 years now.  I moved here 4 years ago and within 6 months had him sit next to me in the barber shop in Solana beach.  It was a really good 45 minutes talking with him.

Hey Brian,

That's what I am talking about...we have everything here don't we. Even the opportunity to sit next to our idols and mentors. Did not know who Brian Tracy was so thank you for that! My mentor is Mark Victor Hansen. He lives in Newport Beach and we met 22 years ago and I have been designing my life his way ever since. Plus, he and his good friend Jack Canfield co-wrote the Chicken Soup For The Soul series which as you may know has sold more books that any other book in the world, ever. So I knew him when.

Thank you for your input...any more?
