Sheron Cardin's Input...: What could be better than this school?

I have been an interior designer for over 27 years and I have always taught my clients the principles I used while decorating their home so they may enjoy decorating too. The home staging trend in residential real estate is a great way to reach more people every day and what I enjoy the most is they are learning the basics of good design through staging. It is my dream for every person to know the joy and pride of living in a decorated home.

What could be better than this school?

Active rain is like college. You can go sit in on your favorite instructor's class for a few minutes pick up some tips or ideas or a concept, apply it, then run to the next class for a minute or two, then if you loose your concentration you can just take a break for a day or a minute, you can pass notes to one another, talk in class, and no one gets mad at you or tells you to be quiet. If you are asked a question, your answer is listened to carefully.

Our instructors are world class and if there is anything going on in the world we will find out about it. We don't have to use up the planet's resources to learn; we save on fuel, we need less clothing which saves the children from working in sweat shops, we spend more time with our families which saves on building more prisons, we save on paper which saves a tree,

Namaste

Since discovering AR, I've been addicted and impressed with the community spirit and sharing of info and experiences; I've learned so much already.

To do this full time as I would in school?  It would be ideal...except...I've got that spread I was warned about and I don't think it would get much prettier. LOL

Sheron - I have learned more from my AR teachers than any class could have taught me.  Thanks for putting what we are all feeling into words.  You are an inspiration.

Isn't the rain forest the best! It is who is dancing in the rain that makes it that way thanks to all of you!

Sheron,

You posed the question, "What could be better than this school?" and the only thing I can think of is for all of us to be able to get together in person....sooooooo I was thinking maybe we should have some sort of informal "convention" in say some wonderful place like ...Oh I don't know maybe Paris?  San Francisco...Costa Rica? The possibilities are endless.

Oh James...so early in the morning!!! Val had a good point...meeting in LAS VEGAS!!! We should be able to do some real networking there huh! I think we will put you in charge of our "convention"  (without the convention stigma of course!)

I still think Paris should be considered as an option. It is only an eight hour plane ride from Chicago.

Ok maybe that hotel in Vehas that has a replica of the Eifel Tower. Maybe I could just pretend I was in Paris. This gambling theme keeps cropping up???

OK...I like New York. Air fare is very inexpensive to Vegas from anywhere. Could be the place to make it happen unless you guys want to participate in the San Francisco Blogger get together in June.
