I was just reading an article from my Google alerts and it is very relevant to what we can represent here in AR. It shows what our focus should be and could be for each other as well as our viewing audience.
With the influx of new members jumping on board, it takes awhile to get oriented to all the groups here. I consider Stage it forward our main staging group and then we have specific groups for specific needs. I propose that after reading this article that we all participate in opening up our dialog with the other real estate professionals and play our part as the merchandisers in the scheme of things to come and then posting professional issues in the specific group that it is designed for.
I am going to itemize quickly the different groups for stagers:
Stage It Forward! - Founder Craig Schiller - HOME STAGERS, this is an informational and networking community that believes the Home Staging Industry will grow and mature by reaching out to and sharing with other Stagers. This one FREE site allows Home Stagers to connect and share with their colleagues and clients. Our diverse background is our strength. By respectfully sharing and helping each other, we can all grow and development so that ultimately the consumer is educated on the benefits of Home Staging and enjoy the benefits of quality service.
Home Staging - Founder Kim Hilgenberg - This group is for the individuals interested in Home Staging. Individuals would include Realtors, real estate investors, flippers, home stagers, landlords (yes, I stage my rental property too), property managers, for a start. We will exchange ideas, tips and information.

I am sure we all agree that we have faced our challenges and are always in need of fresh ideas. That said, lets start sharing!

If you have something personal that can be directed to an individual, it is better to send an email via Active Rain than to use their post for your comments. The link to email is on the profile page of every member.
This list should give you a good idea of what groups to join and where you should post your subject.
Namaste
Sheron, this is an excellent post _-with your permission, may I send it to the new stagers as part of the welcome to AR email that they get.
Hi Sheron,
Thanks for this post. I was able to link with a couple of groups that I didn't know existed.
Hey Sheron - I'll definitely bookmark this one.
The founder of Marketing You is Marti Garaughty - He's a very talented artist - he does reasonably priced artwork for stagers and Realtors. You can check out his website at: http://www.garaughty.com/
Sheron,
Great idea for a post! I actually learned some things that I was not aware of! Thanks!
Sheron,
Thanks for sharing all these great links. I'm not a stager myself, but still a greta resource for me as an agent.

Thanks again Sheron...
Hey Sheron

Phyllis Pafumi
Thanks for putting this together! I haven't cruised the groups lately and didn't know about a couple of these newer groups.
Sheron -- Thanks for taking the time to compose this helpful list of groups for stagers to post in. Reading it made me realize that we need a group in which to share our staging successes....so I created one called "Staging Successes".
Sheron-Thank you for your articulate and detailed explanation of what groups new members should be joining. I've been reading Active Rain for awhile now-too often, maybe-but just joined the other day. There is so much to learn and take advantage of from all of you, and the ever-growing list of groups The guidance is truly appreciated.

Hi Sheron... someone just let me know that you mentioned my name and the marketing group in this post.
Sorry I didin't notice sooner(AR is such a big place), but I wanted to say "hi" and "thanks", even if I'm a little late. Have a great weekend.
I don't know who to thank -- Marti, for making this pop up, or Sheron for writing it. I found stuff I didn't know (. . . but then, I don't know much) :o)
Good thing is, until Alzheimer's sets in, everyday I know more than yesterday! Thx for a great post, Sheron, and Marti, thx for bringing it alive!
Hold onto to your hats because things are changing around here. As soon as things settle I will redo the list for all to use.
Yer welcum!
Hi Karen, you're welcome but I also stumbled Sheron's excellent post by accident.
AR has become so big we might need our own search engine to organize & find everything and... thanks again Sheron.
I have just updated this list and I can only hope I have found all the new staging related groups. With the search tool through Google, the results are vague at best so please, if I missed anyone, please just let me know.
Julianna - what a great idea! I don't know if we have such a specific group and I can't really find out via the search tool for reasons I just mentioned. If we are not aware of such a group then there probably isn't one. Are you thinking of something like Sellers Resource? Let's see what happens with that...my last post was basically written to the seller but do not know who has read it or how far it reaches into the public view. Let me know what you (or any one of us) come up with.
It has been awhile since the last update so if you know of any new home staging groups that are not on this list, could you please add a link and I will get it included.
Thank you.
